NVQ Terms & Conditions for Learners

English Language Requirement

All candidates must have the ability to speak, read, and write in English to a sufficient level to understand assessment requirements, communicate effectively with assessors, and complete written tasks.

Disclosure of Learning Difficulties

Candidates must inform Safe On Site prior to registration if they have any learning difficulties or additional support needs. This enables us to make reasonable adjustments where possible.

Age Requirements

Learners under the age of 18 must provide written consent from a parent or legal guardian before registration can be accepted.

Registration and Identification

All candidates must complete the registration form in full, supplying accurate personal details. Proof of identity, such as a valid passport or driving licence, must be provided.

Evidence Gathering

Candidates are required to collect and submit the evidence as outlined in their assessor’s guidance and Safe On Site communications. Evidence must meet awarding body standards.

IT and Digital Skills

Basic IT skills are essential. Candidates must be able to use a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or other device to access our ePortfolio platform and upload evidence.

Remote Meetings

Candidates must be able to attend scheduled Zoom meetings or video calls with their assessor if required as part of the assessment process.

Site Visits

Onsite assessor visits are not included in the standard cost of the NVQ (except where plant NVQs specifically require them). Any additional site visits may incur extra charges.

Occupational Competence

Candidates must already be experienced and competent in their trade or job role. For example, applicants for a Level 2 Bricklaying NVQ must be currently working as a bricklayer and have sufficient prior experience.

Types of Evidence

Acceptable forms of evidence include, but are not limited to:

  • Photos or videos of the candidate performing work tasks
  • Workplace documentation (e.g., method statements, risk assessments)
  • Witness testimonies
  • Knowledge question responses tasks
  • Case studies or reflective accounts
  • Recorded discussions with the assessor

Evidence Validity

Evidence must not be more than 12 months old at the time of submission and must be drawn from real-life workplace tasks. Simulated evidence will not be accepted.

Candidate Conduct

All candidates are expected to act professionally. Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour towards assessors or staff will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the programme without refund.

Authenticity of Work

All evidence submitted must be the candidate’s own work. Learners must have permission to share workplace documentation and are strictly prohibited from submitting falsified or plagiarised evidence.

Assessor Relationship

Candidates must treat assessors with respect, professionalism, and courtesy at all times. The assessor’s role is to guide and support you through the process.

Certification Timeframe

Certificates are issued directly by the awarding body. Please allow up to 14 working days after successful completion for your certificate to be processed and received.
